Nic Falconer is a Melbourne-based illustrator and designer whose work blends the energy of rock ’n’ roll, the playfulness of comics, and the grit of street art with the polish of contemporary design. Drawing inspiration from pop culture, nostalgia, and everyday life, Nic’s style is versatile, spanning digital illustration, traditional drawing, mixed media, and animation.

At the core of my practice is a simple ethos: make cool stuff with rad people. He’s collaborated with bands, brands, and organisations of all sizes, creating everything from logos and branding packages to posters, murals, and merchandise. I approach each project with a mix of creativity, strategy, and enthusiasm, ensuring designs that not only look great but connect with audiences. When he’s not working, Nic can usually be found experimenting on his Weber, discovering new corners of Melbourne, catching a live band, or rewatching Star Wars (again).

Creative direction and graphic design services for brands, events, and hospitality businesses.

I focus on turning rough ideas into clear, usable visuals. Whether it’s illustration, design, or creative direction, the work is built to suit your audience, fit the space it lives in, and hold up beyond the first impression. Whether you're a startup looking to establish your brand or a larger organization seeking fresh creative direction, I adapt to your needs, offering flexible and personalized design solutions that elevate your brand’s presence.

Icky is structured across four parts, each with a clear role but all feeding into the same body of work. Instead of separating client work, personal projects, and resources, the idea is to keep everything connected so each area informs the others

  • Design, illustration, and creative direction for brands, venues, and projects that need clear, considered visuals. It’s where most commissioned work lives, from identities and posters through to broader visual systems.

  • where drawing, painting, comics, and mural work sit. It’s less about solving a brief and more about developing ideas over time, experimenting, and staying connected to the kind of work that started this whole creative thing.

  • a growing library of digital assets, typefaces, textures, and tools developed through real projects and made available for others to use. It’s a way of sharing process and contributing back to the same community that shaped the work.

  • where physical outputs land. Prints, merchandise, and small-run items designed by me and released independently. It’s a straightforward way for me to get work off the screen and to the people who like it.
